ABOUT YOUR LIBRARY

The Argyle Library was established in 1915 by the Argyle Women’s Club.  It has been housed in the Argyle Community Building since 1924.  Included in the library’s collection of around 5,000 items are:  books for adults and children (including large print), newspapers, magazines,  books on CD, and movies on DVD  , two Nooks and one Kindle Fire for reading ebooks.  The library has computers for registered patron use and wifi is available for those who wish to bring their personal laptop computer to the library.  Two ready nooks and a comfortable reading room are handy areas for laptop use.

The Argyle Community Foundation Grants

The Argyle Community Fund, a component of the Community Foundation of Southern Wisconsin, has provided needed funding to the library over the past years.  Thanks to them, the library has created a comfortable reading room, added to the large print collection, increased the number of computers and replaced old computers, provided a projector, screen, receipt printer, two Nooks and one Kindle Fire.  The Argyle Community Fund is a valuable asset to the Argyle community.
